I loved that you called last night to let me know of a little moment when you could hear Dad saying, "You see you're growing, right?"  As I was lying in bed after you called, it reminded me of this wonderful protocol that Marilyn Vancil wrote in her book about the Enneagram. It's called "OWN UP," and this last week, I used it to untangle some emotions that were triggering for me. I wanted to send it your way to remind you of these things, and I wanted to let you know I love you so very much and am so proud of you.

For one of my classes, I had an assignment to write a blessing for someone, and so I wrote one for your sophomore year and one for Taylor's senior year. It was easy to do as I loved gathering words and phrases from different prayers and other things we've shared over the years. I love you to the moon and back, and pray that these words would be an encouragement to you today and through the year. 💗 💗💗💗💗 A Blessing for your Sophomore Year May this be a year of growth, wonder, and deep joy. May you know that the Lord our God is with you and that He delights in you beyond your wildest dreams, and may that spill over into the way you live and love and move in this world. May you be like a warm lamp, shining constantly and steadily.
